It is decorated by the most sacred river in Karnataka, river Cauvery. Every year Dasara festival is conducted in this city during the month of September or October.

What's Special: It is a historical place and was the first capital city of Karnataka. It has been ruled by the Wodeyar's for more than 500 years. It is the home for the most renowned Palace of Mysore.
